SECE Stage Three Teacher Training Course

Suzuki Early Childhood Education teachers, expand and deepen your SECE teaching experience! This 5-day course will take you through the third level of the Suzuki Early Childhood Education teacher training. This interactive course will include live demonstration classes in addition to lecture and discussion. All participants should come prepared to lead an activity in the baby/toddler demonstration class and receive personal feedback, beginning on the first day. There will be required written assignments and observations during the week.

Class Schedule

Monday, July 28 thru Saturday, August 2, 2025
9:00am – 4:15pm
10:00-11:00am SECE Baby/Toddler demonstration class
Lunch break 12:00-1:30pm

Course Pre-requisites:

• Current Active SAA Membership
• Must be at least age 18 and graduated from high school
• Completion of the SAA Every Child Can (ECC) course
• Completion of SECE Stages One, Two, and Three training
• Completion of the SECE Revisions course is recommended, but not required
• It is assumed that teachers have experience teaching the SECE Baby/Toddler classes with the current, revised curriculum
• Re-read and study the pre-requisite materials:
  • Nurtured by Love by Shinichi Suzuki Revised Edition
  • Ability Development from Age Zero, by Shinichi Suzuki and Mary Louise Nagata
  • Lullabies, Action Songs, and Rhymes recording by Sharon Jones with companion booklet by Dorothy Jones

Guidelines:

• All fees are non-refundable (unless the course is full before your application is received). Absences cannot be credited or refunded.
• Attendance for the entire 30 hours of class time is required for SAA course registration.
